Education Services program provides opportunities for teachers and their students in the researching and studying of local and state history. The program produces three publications in cooperation with the Publications unit titled Illinois History Teacher and, the web-only, Illinois History: A Magazine for Young People and Prairie Pages. The program administers the Illinois regional and state history fairs for junior and senior high school students, and participates in the National History Day competition. All Illinois History Exposition

Prairie Capitol Convention Center

Project Set-up: 8:00-10:30 a.m.

Opening Ceremony & Superior Paper Awards: 10:30 a.m.

Judging: 10:30-1:00 p.m.

Public Viewing of Exhibits: 1:00-2:00 p.m.

Exhibit Room Closed: 2:00-2:45 p.m.

Awards Ceremony: 2:45-3:30 p.m.

 


In addition, the program publishes the following:
Illinois History Teacher - Each issue provides a thorough examination of themes in Illinois history and includes essays by experts in the field along with lesson plans and class activities.
