2008 Illinois History Expo Awards
Superior, Excellent and Good ribbons are awarded to all papers and projects entered in the Regional History Fairs and the Illinonis History Expo.
Illinois College Scholarships are awarded
to two high school students who write the best research papers on
the Civil War and Illinois.
The Governor's Award is given to the school judged to
have accomplished the most to advance the study of Illinois and
local history both in the classroom and the community.
Research and Writing Awards are given to 14 papers published
in Illinois History magazine during the school year.
Abraham Lincoln Association Awards will be given at the
Illinois History Expo. One $500.00 award for the best research
paper on Abraham Lincoln. One $500.00 award for the best media
project on Lincoln.
Illinois Association of Museums, Illinois Society Colonel
Dames, Illinois State Organization National Society Daughters
of the American Revolution, Illinois Press Association, Illinois
Education Association, and the Ernst Ott German History Prize also
sponsor prizes at the Illinois History Expo.
